Handel – Dixit Dominus & Coronation Anthems
Description
The Dixit Dominus (1707) challenges both the choir and the five soloists with complex vocal runs in a beautiful and spirited setting of Psalm 110.
The Coronation Anthems, completed in 1727 for the coronation service of King George II, is rarely performed in its entirety. The regal splendor of the Anthems and the PCS premiere of the Dixit Dominus made this a concert not to be missed!
The Paris Camerata accompanied the Paris Choral Society on period instruments.
