Description
Paris Choral Society with Conductor Zachary Ullery
Organist: Andrew Dewar
Soloists: Soprano: Rachel Redmond, Alto: Grace Durham, Tenor: Simon Edwards, Bass: Philip Glenister
The Paris Choral Society Messiah sing-along is an annual event, giving you a chance to sing Part 1 of Handel’s celebrated work. You can join the choir for the afternoon, singing six choruses before concluding with the famous “Hallelujah” chorus.
The next Sing-Along will be the 29th edition!
What is a “sing-along”? This is where YOU get to sing this work along with members of the Paris Choral Society sitting amongst you in the American Cathedral. We will be guided through the afternoon by Zachary Ullery, Music Director of the PCS, and accompanied by Andrew Dewar, the Cathedral’s Organist. Four professional soloists will entertain us with the arias between each of the choruses.
No experience is needed at this fun afternoon. So, whether you want to sing with us for the first or twenty-ninth time or simply want to listen to this masterpiece, we invite you to start the Christmas season with some joyous music-making.
No reservation is required for the Sing-Along but you can pre-book tickets. Tickets can be purchased at the door on the day of the performance. If you do not have a score, don’t worry, you can rent one at the door for €5 – or, better still, buy one for €15 at the door and then you’ll be ready for every year!
Participants are also invited to attend rehearsal on Monday 4th December 7.30pm – 10pm at The American Cathedral on presentation of their ticket for this event.
