Join us for Handel’s
Messiah sing-a-long
Come sing Handel’s Messiah!
The Paris Choral Society Messiah sing-along is an annual event, giving you a chance to sing Part 1 of Handel’s celebrated work. You can join the choir for the afternoon, singing six choruses before concluding with the famous “Hallelujah” chorus.
The next Sing-Along (the 30th edition!) will take place on 7 December 2024 at Sainte Clotilde (23B Rue las Cases, 75007 Paris). Buy your ticket here.
What is a “sing-along”? This is where YOU get to sing this work along with members of the Paris Choral Society sitting amongst you. We will be guided through the afternoon by the Music Director of the PCS, and accompanied by Andrew Dewar, the Cathedral’s Organist. Four professional soloists will entertain us with the arias between each of the choruses. No experience is needed at this fun afternoon. So, whether you want to sing with us for the first or twenty-ninth time or simply want to listen to this masterpiece, we invite you to start the Christmas season with some joyous music-making.
For an idea of the fun that this can be, take a look at the spontaneous fun we had during our first Flashmob when hundreds of shoppers were enthralled as we spontaneously sang the “Hallelujah Chorus” on 16 November 2013, in a Parisian shopping center.
No reservation is required for the Sing-Along. Tickets can be purchased at the door on the day of the performance or in advance via the website. If you do not have a score, don’t worry, you can rent one at the door for €5 – or, better still, buy one for €15 at the door and then you’ll be ready for every year!
